Community Events and Education
Education and awareness drive our conversations with families about saving for college. Washington's 529 College Savings Plans (WA529) - the Guaranteed Education Tuition (GET) Program and DreamAhead College Investment Plan - incorporate financial wellness and education in the communication and promotion of the two plans.
You will find us at a variety of events such as:
- Employer benefit fairs, work site trainings, and 'Lunch and Learns'.
- School events, meetings and activities.
- Conferences, such as Principals and Superintendents, Financial Aid, Human Resources, Financial Planners and others.
- Family, children and community resource fairs.
Check our calendar below to find out when a WA529 representative will be in your area or email us at WA529Outreach@wsac.wa.gov to request a representative for your event/activity.
Webinars and the WA529 Knowledge Cafe
Can't make it to one of the events below? Check out one of our webinars or join us in the WA529 Knowledge Cafe, a weekly meeting place to learn about the Washington College Savings Plans (the GET Program and DreamAhead Plan), ask questions and gather resources that support educational goals. Jackie Ferrado, WA529 Community Relations Manager will share program highlights and then open it up for Q&A.
These meetings are free and open to the public. Check the event calendar below for dates, times, and registration.
