Getting Started
Once you open your GET or DreamAhead account, initiate your payroll direct deposit authorization.
- Complete a Payroll Direct Deposit Authorization form for the plan of your choice.
- Give a copy of the form to your employer payroll office.
- Send the original form to the respective program (GET or DreamAhead).
- Retain a copy of all forms for your personal records.

How can I change my payroll direct deposit amount?
- Complete a new Payroll Direct Deposit Authorization form and indicate that it is a change.
How can I cancel a payroll direct deposit?
- Notify your employer payroll office to stop your existing payroll direct deposit.
- Contact the respective plan (GET or DreamAhead) to notify of the intent to cancel payroll direct deposit. For GET Custom Monthly accounts, please contact GET to set up new arrangements for continued monthly contributions.
GET and DreamAhead payroll direct deposits are after-tax deductions.
- Payroll direct deposits are after-tax, as required under Section 529 of the Internal Revenue Code.
DreamAhead (only) payroll contribution information.
- The employee must be the Account Owner. An employee may not contribute payroll direct deposits into a DreamAhead account owned by their spouse, or by anyone else.
- DreamAhead only accepts payroll contributions by ACH funds. If the employer cannot support ACH funds, then the employee should consider setting up automatic monthly contributions through the Plan. Employees can review the DreamAhead Program Details Booklet or call 1.844.529.5845 for more information on setting up automatic monthly contributions.
