1. Eligibility: The GET $50 Save and Match Promotion is open to Washington State residents (either the account owner or the student beneficiary must be a Washington State resident). Student beneficiaries must be between the ages of birth to 14 years old. Student beneficiaries who already have an active GET account in their name are NOT eligible for this Promotion. An account owner may open an account and qualify for the matching contribution with more than one student beneficiary (multiple children). A maximum of five (5) new student beneficiary qualifying accounts per Account Owner will be eligible for the matching contribution. The following are excluded from this offer: Employees of Washington Student Achievement Council, its committee members, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and suppliers, (collectively the “Employees”); any persons directly involved with the management of WA529 Education Savings Plans; TIAA-CREF Tuition Financing, Inc. (TFI) and its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, owners, members, directors, managers, officers, employees, trustees, agents, their respective immediate family members (spouse, domestic partner, parents, legal guardians, grandparents, grandchildren, siblings, children and “step” of each) and those individuals living in their same household are not eligible to participate in this promotion. The promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. The promotion is void where prohibited by law.
2. Agreement to Rules: By participating, the Contestant (“You”) agrees to be fully unconditionally bound by these Rules, and You represent and warrant that You and/or your student beneficiary meet the eligibility requirements. In addition, You agree to accept the decisions of the Washington Student Achievement Council as final and binding as they relate to the content of this promotion.
3. Promotion Period: The GET $50 Save and Match Promotion begins at 8:00 a.m. PT on January 5, 2026 and is offered through 11:59 p.m. PT on January 30, 2026, or until GET receives 500 eligible new accounts, whichever comes first. Please check the WA529 Promotions webpage at 529.wa.gov/promotions for potential updates to the promotion period.
4. Open a GET Account: Be one of the first 500 eligible new accounts to successfully open a GET Account Online (application submitted and accepted) and make the required $50 initial contribution for a student who is birth to 14 years of age and is not already a student beneficiary of an active GET account. A slower, alternate means of opening a GET account: mail a completed paper enrollment form found on our forms page at 529.wa.gov/get/forms-get with a check for the $50 initial contribution to the WA529 GET Prepaid Tuition Plan, PO Box 84824, Seattle, WA, 98124-6124. WA529 cannot guarantee that paper enrollment forms will be processed in time to qualify as one of the first 500 GET accounts opened during this promotion period. Enrollment forms must be received by GET before 5:00 p.m. PT on January 30, 2026 or before 500 eligible new accounts are opened, whichever comes first. WA529 is not responsible for delayed or lost mail.
5. Awarding Matching Contribution: One $50 matching contribution per student/child. The $50 match will be deposited into eligible GET accounts on or before Friday, February 27, 2026. Units must be held in a GET account for a minimum of two years (24 months) before they are eligible for use. In the event of a refund or rollover request, WA529 reserves the right to retain contributions in an account made by WA529 that were a result of a WA529-sponsored promotion.
6. Odds: There are no odds or element of chance associated with this promotion. All accounts opened and confirmed eligible by the WA529 GET Prepaid Tuition Plan during the promotional period of January 5, 2026 – January 30, 2026 (up to a limit of 500 new eligible accounts) will receive the $50 matching contribution.
7. Selection and Notification: Official notification will be sent to each eligible participating GET account owner on or before February 27, 2026, at the email provided at the time of enrollment. Washington Student Achievement Council shall have no liability for the account owner’s failure to receive email notices due to spam, junk e-mail, or other security settings or for the participant’s provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information. If the participant cannot be contacted, is ineligible, or fails to complete the required designated actions by 11:59 p.m. PT on May 30, 2026, the promotional contribution will automatically be forfeited. Receipt by participant of the promotional contribution offered in this promotion is conditioned upon compliance with any and all program rules; and federal, state, and local laws and regulations. ANY VIOLATION OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES BY A PARTICIPANT (AT WASHINGTON STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT COUNCIL’S SOLE DISCRETION) WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION AS ONE OF THE 500 NEW ELIGIBLE ACCOUNTS (for this promotion or campaign), AND ALL PRIVILEGES/PROMOTIONAL CONTRIBUTIONS WILL BE TERMINATED.
8. How to Claim Promotional Contribution(s): When opening an account, the account owner must provide all required information and complete the required $50 initial contribution at the time of enrollment; including the legal name, date of birth, contact information, and Social Security/Tax Identification number for themselves as the account owner, the student beneficiary, and an account owner survivor. A valid email and phone number are also required for the GET account owner and the account owner survivor. The student beneficiary must have a new active GET account by 5:00 p.m. PT on January 30, 2026, and cannot be a beneficiary on another GET account. Promotional units are subject to a minimum 2-year (24-month) wait period before use and may be subject to forfeiture in the event of a refund or rollover request. Any taxes and other costs associated with the Promotion are solely the responsibility of the recipient and/or beneficiary.
9. Terms & Conditions: Washington Student Achievement Council (WSAC) reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Promotion should virus, bug, non-authorized human intervention, fraud, or other cause beyond Washington Student Achievement Council’s control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, or proper conduct of the Promotion. In such case, WSAC may award all eligible entries received prior to and/or after (if appropriate) the action taken by WSAC. WSAC reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers or attempts to tamper with the promotion process or the operation of the Promotion or website or violates these Terms & Conditions. WSAC has the right, in its sole discretion, to maintain the integrity of the promotion, to void entries for any reason, including, but not limited to: multiple applications from the same computer exceeding that allowed by promotion rules; or the use of bots, macros, scripts, or other technical means for participating. Any attempt by a participant to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of the promotion may be a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such an attempt be made, WSAC reserves the right to seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.
10. Limitation of Liability: By participating, You agree to release and hold harmless Washington Student Achievement Council and its subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers, and directors from any liability, illness, injury, death, loss, litigation, claim, or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, whether caused by negligence or not, from: (i) such entrant’s participation in the promotion and/or his/her acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize or any portion thereof; (ii) technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to the malfunction of any computer, cable, network, hardware, or software, or other mechanical equipment; (iii) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions, telephone, or Internet service; (iv) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Promotion; (v) electronic or human error in the administration of the Promotion or the processing of entries.
11. Disputes: THIS PROMOTION IS GOVERNED BY THE LAWS OF THE UNITED STATES AND THE STATE OF WASHINGTON, WITHOUT RESPECT TO CONFLICT OF LAW DOCTRINES.

13. To Obtain a Copy of the Official Rules: By participating, You agree to release and hold harmless Washington Student Achievement Council and its subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers, and directors from any liability, illness, injury, death, loss, litigation, claim, or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, whether caused by negligence or not, from: (i) such entrant’s participation in the promotion and/or his/her acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize or any portion thereof; (ii) technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to the malfunction of any computer, cable, network, hardware, or software, or other mechanical equipment; (iii) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions, telephone, or Internet service; (iv) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Promotion; (v) electronic or human error in the administration of the Promotion or the processing of entries.
