
529 Day Education Savings Promotion
OFFICIAL RULES:
1. Eligibility: This promotion is open to Washington State residents with children between the ages of birth to 12 years old at the time of entry. One entry per student. Students who were selected as winners of any WA529 Contest in the last 24 months (2 years) are not eligible to win the 2025 GET 529 Day Education Savings Promotion. The following are excluded from this offer: Employees of Washington Student Achievement Council, its committee members, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and suppliers, (collectively the “Employees”); any persons directly involved with the management of WA529 Education Savings Plans; TIAA-CREF Tuition Financing, Inc. (TFI) and its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, owners, members, directors, managers, officers, employees, trustees, agents, their respective immediate family members (spouse, domestic partner, parents, legal guardians, grandparents, grandchildren, siblings, children and “step” of each) and those individuals living in their same household are not eligible to participate in this promotion. The promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. The promotion is void where prohibited by law. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO WIN. A PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
2. Agreement to Rules: By participating, the Contestant (“You”) agrees to be fully unconditionally bound by these Rules, and You represent and warrant that You and/or your student beneficiary meet the eligibility requirements. In addition, You agree to accept the decisions of Washington Student Achievement Council as final and binding as it relates to the content of this promotion.
3. Promotion Period: WA529 will accept entry forms from May 1, 2025 through 11:59 p.m. (PDT) on May 27, 2025.
4. How to Enter: To enter, participants must submit all required information requested on the official online entry form found on our WA529 Promotions webpage at 529.wa.gov/promotions. Information gathered will be used solely for the purpose of necessary communication with contestants. Students are welcome to print and color a WA529 coloring page; parents are welcome to send the coloring page with their online entry form solely for the purpose of promoting this contest on our social media channels and website during the promotion period. Sending a coloring page is NOT required and does not increase your chances of winning. As an alternate means of entry: provide student’s full name and age, parent/guardian’s full name, address, and a valid email address by either filling out the online form or mailing a postcard to the WA529 GET Prepaid Plan, PO Box 43450, Olympia, WA 98504-3450. Postcard must be printed clearly and received by GET before 5:00 p.m. (PDT) on May 27, 2025. WA529 is not responsible for delayed or lost mail; and our offices are not open for walk-in visitors.
5. How to Win: On May 29, 2025, National 529 Day, WA529 will randomly draw three (3) winning entries from eligible entries received.
6. Odds: Odds of winning the 529 Day promotion/promotional contribution depends on the number of eligible entries received by the WA529 GET Prepaid plan during the promotional period of May 1, 2025 – May 27, 2025.
7. Eligibility Selection and Notification: Official notification will be sent to the parent/guardian by 5:00 p.m. (PDT) on May 29, 2025 at the email provided at the time of entry. Winners will also be announced on WA529 social media accounts at approximately 12:00 p.m. on May 29, 2025. Washington Student Achievement Council shall have no liability for Winner’s failure to receive email notices due to spam, junk e-mail, or other security settings or for the participant’s provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information. If participant cannot be contacted, is ineligible, or fails to complete the required designated actions by 11:59 p.m. (PDT) on June 4, 2025, the promotional contribution will automatically be forfeited. Receipt by participant of the promotional contribution offered in this promotion is conditioned upon compliance with any and all program rules; and federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Students who were selected as winners of any WA529 Contest in the last 24 months (2 years) are not eligible to win the 2025 GET 529 Day Education Savings Promotion. ANY VIOLATION OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES BY A PARTICIPANT (AT WASHINGTON STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT COUNCIL’S SOLE DISCRETION) WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION AS ONE OF THE THREE (3) WINNING PARTICIPANTS (for this promotion or campaign), AND ALL PRIVILEGES/PROMOTIONAL CONTRIBUTIONS WILL BE TERMINATED.
8. How to Claim Promotional Contribution(s): If the parent/legal guardian of the winning student is not already a GET Prepaid Tuition plan account owner with the winning student as the beneficiary, a parent/legal guardian of the winning student must open a GET account within 5 business days (by 5:00 p.m. PDT on June 4, 2025) of being notified as a winner A DEPOSIT IS NOT REQUIRED to open a GET account for winners of this promotion (winners will be directed to a specific link on our website that allows them to open an account without the $25 minimum deposit). To open an account, the parent/guardian of the winning student must provide legal name, date of birth, and Social Security / Tax Identification number for themselves as the account owner, the student beneficiary, and an account owner survivor. A valid email and phone number is also required for the GET account owner and account owner survivor. The parent/guardian must have an active GET account by 5:00 p.m. PDT on June 4, 2025. Promotional units are subject to the 2-year wait period before use and may be subject to forfeiture in the event of a refund request. Any taxes and other costs associated with the Promotion are solely the responsibility of the recipient and/or beneficiary.
9. Rights Granted by You: By submitting an entry, You understand and agree that Washington Student Achievement Council (WSAC), anyone acting on behalf of WSAC, and WSAC’s licensees, successors, and assigns, shall have the right, where permitted by law, to print, publish, broadcast, distribute, and use in any media now known or hereafter developed, in perpetuity and throughout the World, without limitation, your entry, name, portrait, picture, voice, likeness, image, statements about the Promotion, and biographical information for news, publicity, information, trade, advertising, public relations, and promotional purposes, without any further compensation, notice, review, or consent.
10. Terms & Conditions: Washington Student Achievement Council (WSAC) reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Promotion should virus, bug, non-authorized human intervention, fraud, or other cause beyond Washington Student Achievement Council’s control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, or proper conduct of the Promotion. In such case, WSAC may award all eligible entries received prior to and/or after (if appropriate) the action taken by WSAC. WSAC reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers or attempts to tamper with the promotion process or the operation of the Promotion or website or violates these Terms & Conditions. WSAC has the right, in its sole discretion, to maintain the integrity of the promotion, to void entries for any reason, including, but not limited to: multiple entries from the same user from different IP addresses; multiple entries from the same computer exceeding that allowed by promotion rules; or the use of bots, macros, scripts, or other technical means for entering. Any attempt by an entrant to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of the promotion may be a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such an attempt be made, WSAC reserves the right to seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.
11. Limitation of Liability: By participating, You agree to release and hold harmless Washington Student Achievement Council and its subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers, and directors from any liability, illness, injury, death, loss, litigation, claim, or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, whether caused by negligence or not, from: (i) such entrant’s participation in the promotion and/or his/her acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize or any portion thereof; (ii) technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to the malfunction of any computer, cable, network, hardware, or software, or other mechanical equipment; (iii) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions, telephone, or Internet service; (iv) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Promotion; (v) electronic or human error in the administration of the Promotion or the processing of entries.
12. Disputes: THIS PROMOTION IS GOVERNED BY THE LAWS OF THE UNITED STATES AND THE STATE OF WASHINGTON, WITHOUT REGARD TO CONFLICT OF LAW DOCTRINES.

14. Qualifying participant List: To obtain a copy of qualifying participants’ names or these Official Rules, mail your request with a stamped, self-addressed envelope to: Washington Student Achievement Council, GET 529 Day Promotion, PO Box 43450, Olympia, WA 98504-3450. Requests must be received before June 30, 2025.
