Promotion Details
The WA529 GET Prepaid Tuition Plan has been helping families build higher education savings since 1998. In recognition of National 529 Day, WA529 is offering a $529 bonus contribution to fifteen (15) eligible student beneficiaries / GET account owners who open a new GET Prepaid Tuition account between May 1 and May 29, 2026. Please read all promotion details and Official Rules below.
529 Day Promotion Period
May 1 – May 29, 2026: Open a new GET Prepaid Tuition account between May 1 - 29, 2026, and you will be automatically entered for a chance to win a $529 bonus from GET. Read Official Rules below for an alternate means of entry.
Winners Announced
June 1, 2026: Winners will be randomly drawn and notified by 5:00 pm (PT).
Eligibility
- The person opening the account (account owner) or the student beneficiary must be a Washington State resident at the time of entry.
- Beneficiary on account must be 18 years of age or younger as of May 1, 2026.
- Account owners with an existing GET account for the same student beneficiary are ineligible to be chosen as a winner.
How to Enter
- Open a GET account for a student beneficiary who is 18 years old or younger between May 1 and 29, 2026, and the account will automatically be entered to win one of fifteen (15) $529 promotional deposits.
- One Entry per student beneficiary, per account owner.
- Read the Official Rules before entering. See Official Rules for an alternate means of entry.
- Account owner must open a GET account or submit an alternate form of entry by 11:59 pm (PT) May 29, 2026.
Prizes
- One (1) $529 prize will be awarded to fifteen (15) winners chosen at random.
- Prize will be awarded in the form of a $529 deposit into the student beneficiary’s GET account.
- Only one (1) $529 Prize may be claimed per student beneficiary. Account owners with multiple GET accounts may claim a $529 prize, if awarded, for more than one student beneficiary per household.
To claim the prize
- On Monday, June 1, 2026, winning participants will be notified through the email provided by the participant.
- If qualifying through the alternate means of entry, the participant must respond to the email notification within five (5) business days (by 11:59 pm on Monday, June 8, 2026) and, if applicable, open a GET account for an eligible beneficiary 18 years of age or younger to claim the prize. See Official Rules for important details.
- Only one (1) $529 Prize may be claimed per student beneficiary. Account owners with multiple GET accounts may claim a $529 prize, if awarded, for more than one student beneficiary per household.
Important Details
- To open a GET account, you will need to provide a legal name, date of birth, and Social Security / Tax Identification number for yourself as the account owner, the student beneficiary, and an account owner survivor. A valid email and phone number are also required for both the account owner and the account owner survivor.
- $25 minimum initial deposit is encouraged but NOT REQUIRED to open a GET account or to qualify for this promotion.
- If a winner is selected who entered via the alternate means of entry and does not have an active GET account or fails to open an active GET account by 11:59 pm on Monday, June 8, 2026, the winner will immediately forfeit the prize. In this case, no alternate winner will be selected, and that prize will not be awarded.
- Students who were selected as winners/recipients of a WA529 Promotional deposit valued over $100 in the last 24 months (2 years) are NOT eligible to win the 2026 GET 529 Day Education Savings Promotion
- Notification of winners will be made by email. If a valid email is not provided, the selected winner will automatically forfeit the prize, and an alternate winner may be selected.
- Any taxes and other costs associated with the Promotion are solely the responsibility of the recipient and/or beneficiary.
- Please consult a tax advisor about the tax implications of participating in WA529 Education Savings Plans and this promotion.

Official Rules
- Eligibility: This promotion is open to everyone age 18 or older. Either the entrant or the eligible beneficiary on the qualifying GET account must be a Washington state resident. The beneficiary on the qualifying GET account must be age 18 years or younger as of May 1, 2026. Only one entry per student beneficiary, per account owner. The following are excluded from this promotion: Beneficiaries or account owners who were selected as a winner/recipient of a WA529 Prize valued over $100 in the last 24 months (2 years); Employees of Washington Student Achievement Council, its committee members, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and suppliers, (collectively the “Employees”); any persons directly involved with the management of WA529 Education Savings Plans; TIAA-CREF Tuition Financing, Inc. (TFI) and its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, owners, members, directors, managers, officers, employees, trustees, agents, their respective immediate family members (spouse, domestic partner, parents, legal guardians, grandparents, grandchildren, siblings, children and “step” of each) and those individuals living in their same household are not eligible to be chosen as a winner of this promotion. The promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Promotion is void where prohibited by law. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO WIN. A PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
- Agreement to Rules: By participating, the Contestant (“You”) agrees to be fully unconditionally bound by these Rules, and You represent and warrant that You and/or your student beneficiary meet the eligibility requirements. In addition, You agree to accept the decisions of the Washington Student Achievement Council as final and binding with respect to the content of this promotion.
- Promotion Period: Qualifying GET accounts must be opened between 12:00 am Pacific time on May 1, 2026, through 11:59 pm Pacific time on May 29, 2026. Or an alternate means of entry must be received by GET, before 5:00 pm (PT) on Friday, May 29, 2026. (PT).
- How to Qualify: To be automatically entered, eligible participants must open a GET account between May 1 and 29, 2026, for a student beneficiary who is 18 years old or younger at the time of entry. Limit one eligible account/entry per beneficiary, per account owner, i.e., an account owner may open GET accounts for multiple eligible beneficiaries, and/or multiple account owners may open one GET account each for one eligible beneficiary. Alternate means of entry: provide an eligible student’s full name and age, parent/guardian’s full name, street address with city and zip code, and a valid email address by mailing a notecard to the WA529 GET Prepaid Plan, PO Box 43450, Olympia, WA 98504-3450. Notecard must be printed clearly and received by GET before 5:00 pm (PT) on Friday, May 29, 2026. WA529 is not responsible for delayed or lost mail. All winners selected must open a GET account for the student beneficiary to receive the $529 prize contribution. Emailed or hand-delivered entries are not accepted.
- How to win: On Monday, June 1, 2026, WA529 will randomly draw fifteen (15) winning entries from all eligible entries received, inclusive of all eligible account owners who opened new GET accounts for an eligible student during the promotion period, and any eligible alternate entries received.
- Odds: Odds of winning the 529 Day promotion/promotional contribution depend on the number of eligible entries received by the WA529 GET Prepaid Tuition plan during the promotional period of May 1 to May 29, 2026.
- Eligibility Selection and Notification: Official notification will be sent to the winning account owners by 5:00 pm (PT) on Monday, June 1, 2026, to the email provided at the time of entry. Washington Student Achievement Council shall have no liability for Winner’s failure to receive email notices due to spam, junk e-mail, or other security settings or for the participant’s provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information. If the account owner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, or fails to complete the designated required actions by 11:59 pm (PT) on June 8, 2026, the promotional contribution will automatically be forfeited. Receipt by participant of the promotional contribution offered in this promotion is conditioned upon compliance with any and all program rules, and federal, state, and local laws and regulations. ANY VIOLATION OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES BY A PARTICIPANT (AT WASHINGTON STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT COUNCIL’S SOLE DISCRETION) WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION AS ONE OF THE FIFTEEN (15) WINNING PARTICIPANTS (for this promotion or campaign), AND ALL PRIVILEGES/PROMOTIONAL CONTRIBUTIONS WILL BE TERMINATED.
- How to Claim Promotional Contribution(s): If a selected winner does not own a GET Prepaid Tuition Plan account with an eligible beneficiary, the winner must open a GET account with an eligible beneficiary within 5 business days of being notified as a winner (by 11:59 pm PT on June 8, 2025). A $25 minimum deposit is encouraged but NOT REQUIRED to open a GET account. To open an account, the parent/guardian of the winning student must complete all required fields on the official online or paper GET enrollment form, including (but not limited to) legal name, date of birth, and Social Security / Tax Identification number for themselves as the account owner, the student beneficiary, and an account owner survivor. A valid email and phone number are also required for the GET account owner and account owner survivor. All GET units are subject to a 2-year wait period before use. If the GET account is canceled or refunded within two years, all funds in the account that result from GET promotions may be subject to forfeiture. Any taxes and other costs associated with the Promotion are solely the responsibility of the recipient and/or beneficiary
- Rights Granted by You: By accepting this promotional contribution, You understand and agree that Washington Student Achievement Council (WSAC), anyone acting on behalf of WSAC, and WSAC’s licensees, successors, and assigns, shall have the right, where permitted by law, to print, publish, broadcast, distribute, and use in any media now known or hereafter developed, in perpetuity and throughout the World, without limitation, your entry, name, portrait, picture, voice, likeness, image, statements about the Promotion, and biographical information for news, publicity, information, trade, advertising, public relations, and promotional purposes, without any further compensation, notice, review, or consent.
